LOST
ISLAND - Fiji Islands
Lost Island or
its traditional name Yanuca Lailai, is south of Ovalau Island,
Central Fiji. Its an uninhabited 72 acres big, volcanic rock,
limestone island with an amazing nature. The coastline with
mangrove, volcanic rock cliffs and beaches surrounds an abounded
jungle. Its totally off the main tourist track and its a
hiding place to get away from the busy world and live a
"Robinson Crusoe".

Things
to do Explore the island,
its hiding surprisingly diverse biotopes, relax on the
beach, do a little hike to the peak, trek the jungle....
gather fruit. some in season, you find papaya, banana,
mango, pineapple, rose apple, lemon, breadfruit,
taravou, vi... and coconut.
At low tide walk out on the
tidal flat and explore the sea live, snorkel just off
the beach, beach comb, read a book, go fishing, just
experience island live, visit Levuka the old capital for
day trip, after dinner enjoy the hospitality of your
hosts or sit on a bonfire on the beach and watch the
stars... |

Accommodation is
in Fijian Bures, thatched huts build in a local traditional
way. They are right a the beach only a stone throw from the clear
waters of the pacific. There are only 3 double bures and one large
house wich includes 6 beds for girls and 6 beds for boys. there is
a bar, boutique and laundry room Facilities are shared. Toilets
are flush. Showers are cold.
